Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2025 Applies to: visitors in the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, and the United States

This Cookie Policy explains how Devels.ai (“Devels”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on devels.ai (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.

We build and provide AI services (AI agents, RAG, LLM chains, and AI consulting). This policy covers tracking on our marketing site, product pages, and any demos hosted under the devels.ai domain.

1) What are cookies and similar technologies?

  • Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website to remember information about you.
  • Local storage and session storage are browser-based storage technologies used for similar purposes.
  • Pixels/tags are small pieces of code (often loaded through Google Tag Manager) that help us measure and improve our Site.

Some cookies are first‑party (set by us) and others are third‑party (set by service providers like Google).

2) How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Make the Site work (e.g., load balancing, security, remembering your cookie choices).
  • Measure and improve the Site (e.g., aggregate analytics via Google Analytics 4 loaded through Google Tag Manager).
  • Operate product demos and forms (e.g., keep a session active while you interact with an AI demo).

We do not use cookies for interest‑based advertising on our Site unless expressly stated and consented to (where required).

3) Your choices & controls

A. EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland

  • We place non‑essential cookies (e.g., analytics) only with your consent.
  • You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the Cookie settings link (typically available in our footer or banner).

Legal bases (GDPR):

  • Strictly necessary cookies: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) and/or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Analytics/measurement cookies: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

B. United States (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and other state laws)

  • Where required, we provide a “Do Not Sell or Share” / “Limit the Use of My Data” option and honor applicable Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for opt‑outs that apply to cookie‑based “sales” or “sharing” (as defined by state law).
  • We do not sell your personal information. We also do not “share” it for cross‑context behavioral advertising on this Site. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide required opt‑outs.

C. Browser & device controls (everywhere)

Blocking cookies may impact Site functionality (e.g., remembering your preferences or keeping sessions active).

4) Technologies we use

Google Tag Manager (GTM)

GTM helps us manage and load measurement tags. GTM itself does not set cookies by default; it deploys other tags (like Google Analytics) which may set cookies.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use GA4 to understand how visitors use our Site (e.g., page views, device/region, referring URLs). GA4 uses first‑party identifiers and may collect device and interaction metadata. We use GA4 in aggregate form for product and Site improvement.

For details on how Google processes data, see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

  • Strictly necessary – required for the Site to function (security, load balancing, consent memory, session continuity).
  • Analytics/Performance – help us understand usage and improve the Site (e.g., GA4).
  • (We currently do not use advertising cookies on the Site.)

6) Representative cookies we may set

Cookie names can change over time. The list below reflects typical cookies for GA4 and consent memory; your browser may show variants.

Name Provider Purpose (Category) Retention (Typical) Type
cookie_consent (or similar) devels.ai Remembers your cookie choices Up to 12 months First‑party
_ga Google Analytics 4 Distinguishes users (Analytics) Up to 2 years First‑party
_ga_<container-id> Google Analytics 4 Persists session state (Analytics) Up to 2 years First‑party
_gid Google Analytics 4 Distinguishes users (Analytics) ~24 hours First‑party

Notes: • If we enable additional Google features (e.g., Ads integrations), additional cookies like _gcl_au or campaign cookies may appear. We will reflect material changes in this Policy and in the cookie banner/settings. • Session storage/local storage may be used to keep demo sessions active or remember UI state; this is typically strictly necessary.

7) Data retention via cookies

Cookie lifetimes are listed above; analytics data stored in our analytics accounts may be retained for longer in aggregate form in accordance with our Privacy Notice and GA4 account settings.

8) International transfers

Our service providers (including Google) may process information in countries outside your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards, and we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms consistent with applicable laws.

9) Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our services. If changes are material, we will notify you (e.g., via banner or update notice) and, where required, seek your consent again.
